We eat with our teeth every day, and if we don’t take good care of our teeth, in the long run, bad breath, toothache, dental disease will appear, and eventually the broken tooth may have to be pulled out. Therefore, it is important to protect the health of your teeth.

 What is the measure of our dental health?Teeth that reach the following 6 points are basically considered "good teeth":

  • The teeth are not twisted;
  • The dentition arrangement curve is good;
  • The axial inclination angle of the teeth is good;
  • The occlusal relationship between the upper and lower dentition is good;
  • The teeth are in close contact with no gaps;
  • The lipolingual or buccolingual inclination of the crown is good.

 So how can we protect our teeth? Four things should be done:

  •  Brush your teeth effectively every day

Brush your teeth 3 times a day for 3 minutes or more each time. And pay attention to the bristles at a 45-degree angle to the tooth surface, turn the brush head, brush every tooth as much as possible, and let the toothbrush move back and forth between the upper and lower dentition surfaces to remove deep residues. Don't brush your teeth sideways, and don't use too much force.

  • Choose your own toothbrush and toothpaste

Toothbrush: Only by choosing a health-care toothbrush that meets the requirements of oral hygiene can it achieve the effect of cleaning teeth without damaging the teeth and periodontal tissue. The characteristics of the health toothbrush are: the brush head is small and can be rotated flexibly in the mouth; the bristles are arranged reasonably, which is easy to clean the teeth, and the toothbrush itself is easy to clean after brushing; the bristles are thin and elastic; the top of the bristles is round, which is not easy to damage the teeth and gums . An electric toothbrush is also a good choice. The slight vibration generated by its high-speed rotation can not only promote blood circulation in the oral cavity, but also have a massage effect on the gum tissue.

 Toothpaste: In order to prevent tooth decay, you can choose an anti-cavity toothpaste with a repair function. The formula contains free fluorine that can directly act on the surface of the teeth. The cracks in the teeth are particularly easy to absorb free fluorine, so free fluorine can play a role in directional repair. It can effectively repair damaged enamel and prevent the invasion of bacteria.

  •  Eat more "tooth-caring food"

High-fiber foods, such as vegetables, whole grains, fruits, etc., are good for teeth; and meat, eggs, and milk with high calcium content should be eaten more; avoid eating too many sweets. Especially in infants and young children, parents should pay attention to the choice of diet. Parents should give their children more vegetables that can promote teeth chewing, such as celery, cabbage, spinach, leeks, kelp, etc., which is conducive to promoting the development of the jaw and the alignment of the teeth.

  •  Clean your teeth regularly

The use of ultrasonic scaling and other means to clean the dental plaque and calculus in the oral cavity in time is what people call "tooth cleaning", which is one of the main means to prevent periodontal disease. Brushing and scaling are not substitutes for each other, as new strains can form within hours of a thorough brushing and reach a maximum within 30 days. If you do not pay attention to oral hygiene or brush your teeth correctly, the surface of the teeth will become damaged. There is a lot of plaque accumulation, especially in the parts that cannot be brushed by a toothbrush, which becomes calculus over time. If there is dental plaque and calculus on the surface of the teeth, and it is not eliminated in time, it can cause a series of diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis.

 Taking care of our teeth is a compulsory course for us, and we can use electric toothbrushes and irrigators to increase the intensity of care, so as to achieve the purpose of deep cleaning of teeth.
